About the Role: Teacher in Residence (TIR)

The Teacher in Residence (TIR) role offers a unique opportunity for educators who are passionate about teaching and want to grow within a supportive school community. This proactive hiring approach allows our client to build a pipeline of talented teachers ahead of final classroom assignments.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with school leaders and grade-level teachers to prepare for the school year
• Step into a full-time classroom teacher role when a vacancy arises
• Create a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Implement proven curriculum resources tailored to student needs
• Use student data to inform instructional practices
• Engage professionally with colleagues to meet the academic and developmental goals of each student

Qualifications & Licensure Requirements

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Hold a valid Wisconsin teaching license or meet alternative pathway requirements (our client will support alternative certification)
• Acceptable license types include:
• Elementary Education (Grades 1–6)
• Early Childhood to Middle Childhood (e.g., PK-3, K-6, PK-8, K-8)
• Middle Childhood to Early Adolescence
• DPI License Codes: 116, 118 and other valid combinations
