Job Description

Pettis Search Partners is currently assisting our client with a Plant Manager search. This candidate will be responsible for managing the manufacturing operations for the plant, and for finding opportunities for production process improvements, building, and maintaining employee relations, and the overall increase of operations efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of supervisors, and laborers, to effectively perform production operations activities.
• Lead and build solid working relationships with the plant employees.
• Ensure daily area production requirements are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Liaison with all departments to exchange information on improving existing area manufacturing procedures and systems.
• Manage, coach, and develop leadership staff.
• Maintain safety standards for all assigned areas by ensuring safety requirements are met and policies are adhered to.
• Conduct regular, timely reviews and yearly performance reviews for all direct reports and ensure timely review of hourly personnel.
• Actively participate and drive continuous improvement activities to ensure maximum results in reducing costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Advanced degree or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years manufacturing plant management experience
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
