Job Title: Injection Mold Process Technician

Location: Fountain Inn, SC

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7 days/week – all shifts

$40 a day per diem |Travel reimbursement | Hotel accommodations paid for | Overtime & Double Time | Weekly Pay

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Injection Mold Process Technician to join our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing plastic injection molding processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality automotive components. This role requires hands-on experience with a wide range of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and monitor plastic injection molding processes for machines ranging from 150T to 3000T .
• Perform and support up to 18 mold changes daily , ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
• Optimize and maintain molding parameters to achieve quality and productivity standards.
• Troubleshoot process and machine-related issues, providing immediate corrective action to maintain production flow.
• Set and adjust robotic programming for part removal and secondary operations using:
• Spray Pro robotics
• Witman robots
• Work with and maintain equipment from various OEMs, including:
• Engel
• Ube
• Crossgfy
• ITM
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve process stability and part quality.
• Document all process changes and maintain accurate setup sheets and production records.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Process Technician in an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastic processing and mold change procedures.
• Hands-on experience with a high volume of daily mold changes.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 automotive quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and plastic fumes.
